For some, it’s more than just clutter - their living environment is holding back their lives and impacting their safety or mental health.
The problem is, not only is it hard to know which neighbors are drowning in a tough season, not everyone is equipped to help.

Our Projects Change Lives
We empower clients to live at home safely with professional organizing systems that can continue to improve their livelihood. A safe and manageable home environment has been shown to have a direct, positive impact on mental health and well-being.

Founder, Meghan Jackson, is uniquely positioned to help your clients create a safe and functional living space.
As a Certified Professional Organizer® and a background as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Meghan combines best practices from both professions to create a client-centered, non-judgmental approach for lasting change.

For accepted applicants, we offer the following services:

What are your referral criteria for applications?
Impactful Organizing only accepts applications from our partnering agencies.
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
1. Applicant has been engaged with the referring agency for at least 1 month.
2. Applicant is in a stable living environment in El Paso County.
3. Applicant is not otherwise able to afford professional organizing services.
Does the referring agency need to see the client's space firsthand?
This is not a requirement. What is most important is to get a sense of how clutter and disorganization in their space is impacting the applicant’s life.
What commitment is required of clients?
The client is required to be present and participate in organizing services. The client and their Professional Organizer will make a custom plan together to declutter and organize one space to make daily life easier.
What follow up support do clients receive?
Impactful Organizing provides one two-hour follow up organizing session with one organizer to fine-tune the organizing systems put in place.
What is the referral process?
1. Complete an application with your client.
2. Applications are reviewed the first Wednesday of the month.
(Applications must be received by the first day of the month to be considered that month.)
3. The referring agency and applicant will be notified within 3 business days if the application has been accepted or not.
How can I explain what Impactful Organizing offers to my clients?
People can feel a lot of shame around an unmanageable household. Here are suggestions for approaching this topic:
1. Curiosity: “I’ve noticed that ____ seems stressful to you.”
- Keeping track of papers
- Finding items
- An overflowing pantry
2. Empathy: “You are dealing with a lot. It makes sense that ____ feels unmanageable.”
3. Offer: “Mind if I share an idea? I know an place that offers professional organizing at no cost. They help people tackle clutter and create systems to make daily life easier. Are you interested in learning more?”

What is your confidentiality policy?
Our services are very personal. Impactful Organizing is very respectful of the fact that clients are inviting us into their home. Funding for our organizing projects relies on the positive impact of our services. We may share non-identifiable information about projects for fundraising or promotional purposes.
Does Impactful Organizing help spaces like the TV show Hoarders?
Sponsor A Space is not currently structured to assist with whole house projects like those featured on Hoarders. Each project has a targeted approach to address safety and well-being needs.
