Have a client with Colorado Medicaid?
We've been approved as a Colorado Medicaid provider. Clients with Medicaid coverage that includes our services don't need an agency referral, they can put themselves directly on our waitlist at impactfulorganizing.com, and we'll reach out as space opens.

Impactful Organizing only accepts Community Access Program applications from our partnering agencies. Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Applicant lives in El Paso County, in a stable living environment.
- Applicant has been engaged with the referring agency for at least 1 month.
- Applicant is not enrolled in Medicaid coverage under which our services would be a covered benefit.
- Applicant is not otherwise able to afford professional organizing services.
What Your Client Will Receive
For accepted applicants, this includes:
- 45-minute Discovery Session — to assess the client's goals, priorities, and home environment.
- 6 organizing hours, delivered by 2 team members.
- Up to $250 in organizing supplies, purchased on the client's behalf, based on project need.
- A Follow-Up and Skills Review Session (2 hours, 1 team member), to fine-tune the organizing systems put in place.

Application Review
Applications are reviewed the first Wednesday of each month. Submit at least 2 days prior to be considered.
Notification & Scheduling
You and the applicant are notified within 3 business days. If accepted, the applicant must schedule their initial consultation within 4 weeks.

This form is for clients who do not have Medicaid. If your client has Medicaid, please use our Medicaid referral process above instead.
Frequently-Asked Questions (FAQs)
My client has Colorado Medicaid, do they still need our referral?
No. Clients with Colorado Medicaid coverage that includes our services can now put themselves directly on our waitlist at impactfulorganizing.com, no agency referral needed. If your client doesn't have that Medicaid coverage, they can still be referred through our Community Access Program above.
What are your referral criteria for applications?
Impactful Organizing only accepts Community Access Program applications from our partnering agencies. Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Applicant lives in El Paso County, in a stable living environment.
- Applicant has been engaged with the referring agency for at least 1 month.
- Applicant is not enrolled in Medicaid coverage under which our services would be a covered benefit.
- Applicant is not otherwise able to afford professional organizing services.
Applications are reviewed and scored using our Need-Based Scoring Framework; acceptance is subject to available funding and capacity.
What's the difference between the Medicaid-funded pathway and the Community Access Program?
We deliver the same core service, hands-on home organizing and daily living skills training, through two funding pathways. The Medicaid-funded pathway is billed to Health First Colorado for clients whose Medicaid coverage includes our services; those clients now self-refer through our waitlist at impactfulorganizing.com. The Community Access Program is funded entirely by private donations and grants for clients who aren't covered by Medicaid for these services, and it's the pathway agencies refer clients into.
Does the referring agency need to see the client's space firsthand?
This is not a requirement. What is most important is to get a sense of how clutter and disorganization in their space is impacting the applicant's life.
What commitment is required of clients?
The client is required to be present and participate in organizing services. The client and their Professional Organizer will make a custom plan together to declutter and organize one space to make daily life easier.
What follow up support do clients receive?
Impactful Organizing provides a 2-hour Follow-Up and Skills Review Session with one organizer to fine-tune the organizing systems put in place.
What is the referral process?
1. Complete an application with your client.
2. Applications are reviewed the first Wednesday of the month. Applications must be received by 2 days prior to the review date to be considered that month.
3. The referring agency and applicant will be notified within 3 business days if the application has been accepted or not. If accepted, the applicant must schedule their initial consultation within 4 weeks.
How can I explain what Impactful Organizing offers to my clients?
People can feel a lot of shame around an unmanageable household. Here are suggestions for approaching this topic:
1. Curiosity: "I've noticed that ____ seems stressful to you."
- Keeping track of papers
- Finding items
- An overflowing pantry
2. Empathy: "You are dealing with a lot. It makes sense that ____ feels unmanageable."
3. Offer: "Mind if I share an idea? I know a place that offers professional organizing at no cost. They help people tackle clutter and create systems to make daily life easier. Are you interested in learning more?"

What is your confidentiality policy?
Our services are very personal. Impactful Organizing is very respectful of the fact that clients are inviting us into their home. Funding for our organizing projects relies on the positive impact of our services. We may share non-identifiable information about projects for fundraising or promotional purposes.
Does Impactful Organizing help spaces like the TV show Hoarders?
Impactful Organizing is not currently structured to assist with whole house projects like those featured on Hoarders. We do help with some hoarding-like situations. Each project has a targeted approach to address safety and well-being needs.
